Dave Hackett and Clare Ladd welcome you to Brockdish, a pretty village situated on the Norfolk Suffolk border in the beautiful Waveney Valley.
The Old Greyhound, now Greyhound House was a former coaching inn, we have lovingly converted it into a welcoming home with comfortable and relaxing guest rooms. It has many period features, including some low beams, typical of a grade ll listed 17th century timber framed building.
Brockdish is the perfect location for touring both Norfolk and Suffolk, as it lies about 20 miles from Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St.Edmunds and Southwold on the stunning sunshine coast. Beccles known as the gateway to the broads is even closer.
How to find us.
We are easy to find, if driving from Diss along the A140 at the Scole Roundabout take third exit onto the A143 Great Yarmouth road, drive for a further 6 miles where you will see the signpost to Brockdish. Turn right follow the road into the village and when you see the green on the left and the village hall on your right you are just about there. We are the large house directly after the green.
If coming from the East get on the A143 and continue until you reach the Harleston/Needham roundabout and take the first left for Needham. Continue through Needham and into Brockdish, we can be found just before the village hall opposite Common Lane.
